Imperio Collection: questions parents ask

How many stages does the Imperio convertible crib have?

The Imperio Convertible Crib ($1,810, open or solid back) has five stages: Standard Crib (0–24 months), Toddler Bed and Daybed (24 months–4 years), then Full Size Bed and Customised Full Size Bed (4 years to forever). The Daybed needs no extra purchase. The Imperio Toddler Rail ($260) fits models 8501/8502, and the Conversion Kit ($530) includes two sets of slats, so no separate box spring is needed (box spring included). Just add a standard full-size mattress.

What style is the Imperio crib?

Imperio is what Romina calls a Modern Craftsman design: a pedestal base and architectural posts with curves and wide angles on every side. It's built to fit both urban contemporary and classic rooms. Jeni Pulos featured an Imperio crib in US Weekly, and several real nurseries on Romina's blog use Imperio.

Is the Imperio crib Greenguard Gold certified and solid wood?

Yes. The Imperio crib is Greenguard Gold certified and made in Europe from 100% solid hardwood. It uses non-toxic, water-based and organic oil finishes with no formaldehyde or VOC emissions, comes in 13 finishes, and has a solid wood mattress support with three height settings. Romina says it's periodically tested to meet and exceed CPSC standards.
