Romina is solid-wood furniture for the years you actually live in a home. We make cribs, dressers, and beds that stay in the family: healthy materials, quiet hardware, and a convertible path from day one to a teen room.
How we got here
The store began in 1991 with a third-generation furniture artisan and a small shop. We have grown, traded hand saws for precision machinery, and kept the same standard: from our family to yours.
Passion is still in the work. It just lives in tighter joints, quieter drawers, and finishes a nursery can live with.
A family workshop that still makes every piece under one roof.
What we're made of
Every material has a job. Solid wood carries the structure and the grain. Water-based, Greenguard Gold finishes keep indoor air clean. German hardware closes without waking anyone at 2am.
If it does not meet that bar, it does not make the cut.
Wood, water-based color, and hardware chosen for real rooms.
The Romina way
Everything we make comes back to a few standards: real materials, clean finishes, and furniture that still belongs in the room a decade later.
Just wood
European beech and New Zealand pine. No mystery cores. The furniture is wood, through and through.
Water-based finishes
Organic color agents and Greenguard Gold certification. No hard-to-spell chemicals in the nursery air.
Designed for life
Convertibles that move from crib to toddler bed to daybed to full, so the piece grows with the child.
How we do it
The manufacturing family supervises the work from raw timber to the sealed crate. Every crib and dresser is made under one roof, so we know the ingredients, the tooling, and the finish that go into it.
That is how we keep toxins out that mass furniture still uses.
From kiln-dried boards to a boxed piece, all in the same building.

The difference is in the details
We do not take shortcuts where a child will notice: the close of a drawer, the air in the room, the way a joint holds after a decade.
Crafted to last
English dovetail, concealed fasteners, and dual-height drawers. The details are there so the piece stays quiet, square, and usable.
German hardware
Hettich hydraulic soft-close, guaranteed for 80,000 cycles. Anchoring kits and balanced construction for curious hands.
Five trees for one
We follow the European treaty for forest re-harvesting. For every beech tree we cut, we plant five saplings.
Clean indoor air
No phthalates, formaldehyde, lead, or extra VOCs. Greenguard Gold is the floor, not a badge we borrowed.
A shorter path, a greener one
Waste wood warms the shops in Eastern European winters or becomes packaging. A sister company makes ethanol from byproduct, enough to power thousands of cars for a year.
The outdoor forest and the indoor nursery are the same responsibility.
Sustainable harvest, then a finish a baby can sleep next to.
What to expect
Furniture that is healthy to live with, and a company that still answers when something needs a part.
Pieces we would keep
Every collection starts with a simple test: would we put this in our own homes. If not, it does not ship.
Warranties that mean it
Three years on cribs. Drawer glides and hinges rated for 80,000 cycles. We stand behind the work after the box is opened.
Specialty stores
Romina is in more than 120 specialty stores across North America, Europe, and beyond. Sit with the wood before you decide.
A team that answers
Questions about a finish, a missing bolt, or which crib converts how: write us. Parents, not tickets.
