Why choose Romina
"Good enough" today will become another shopping trip tomorrow. This is a fact. Here's another one: you have a child for the rest of your life. Think about it!
100% solid wood. Zero% Fine Print
“wood-like” soon becomes "should have" and slightly cheaper becomes really expensive in the long run. Because you have to buy it again, it just does not last. We use 100% solid wood for cribs, dressers, drawers and accessories. Everything.
HARD IS NOT SOFT
Our hardwood takes about 26 years to mature. Pine is harvested at 7 and it's mostly water. That extra growth time translates into density and strength and longevity. There is a reason some wood is used for making matches and other for furniture.
GREENGUARD Gold +
Some brands certify a single product and then stretch the certification banner. You'll be happy to learn that ALL Romina furniture is GREENGUARD Gold. Because sometimes, the things you cannot see, can be harmful.
the 10 step process
Organic finishes are applied in the layered method, stain (or paint) then sand down and repeat to allow the finish to penetrate the wood. No chemical accelerants, no Lead or hard to spell chemicals, just the boring organic finishes.
80,000 cycles. About 73 years.
Soft-close, 120° opening, zinc-plated steel, tested in the USA. Silent enough not to wake a baby. Hardware is where cheap furniture fails first. This is where Romina spends.
EUROPEAN ROOTS
Most of the stuff you see online is made by some Asian factory, imported by some corporation and sold by another party. We made our furniture from scratch, no middle man. From Forest to Home, more furniture and less marketing.
So much of early childhood happens in this room: sleep, play and bedtime stories, you will spend a lot of time here too. Romina is real furniture which happens to start in the nursery. One good decision for the one registry item which you still need after the "diaper" chapter is closed.
